About Old Basset Cottage
Old Basset Cottage was the original farmhouse dating back to the 17th century, now completely converted to a new cottage incorporating many of the original features and is of a very high standard. It is situated near the present farmhouse which is itself over 200 years old. From the cottage there are spectacular valley views towards the sea.
Inside Old Basset Cottage
Your accommodation begins with an enclosed entrance porch (with some storage for coats & shoes) which leads to the large and comfortable open-plan lounge/dining room.
The lounge area has comfy seating for four people on the sofas, with coffee tables and Flatscreen Freeview TV, with the dining area offering ample space for four or more. The lounge/dining room also enjoys views out to the surrounding pasture and free wireless internet access is also available in the property.
The large farmhouse kitchen is fully fitted with fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, cooker and microwave, and also includes ample breakfast dining space and an original serving hatch to the main lounge/dining room.
The accommodation boasts a modern luxury bathroom which includes separate shower unit, bath, basin, WC and heated towel rail/radiator.
There are two bedrooms;
– Double room with a double bed, bedside tables with bedside lamps and a DAB radio, large double wardrobe, drawers and shelving space, plus the original feature fireplace
– Twin room with two 3 ft single beds, bedside tables with bedside lamps and a small double wardrobe.
Bed linen and towels are provided.
Outside Old Basset Cottage
The cottage has its own garden and BBQ and visitors are welcome to walk around the farm at any time.
There is full oil central heating for the cooler months and electricity is included.
Cot and high chair available on request.
A no smoking policy applies inside the cottage.
